 An Introduction
EML was formed in 1985 to provide a localised service for Northampton and the surrounding towns. We decided from the start that we did not want to be a traditional 'gather-stitch-trim' print finishers but that we would offer a more specialised service. The individual processes we offer are each linked to one or more of the others to enable us to provide an 'under one roof' service. Our sales folder, for instance, has been film laminated by EML - the die used to cut and crease the folder was made by EML - the cutting and creasing was done by EML - the finish trimming was done by EML and the hand folding and gluing was done by EML.
We can apply this 'under one roof' service to other processes - maybe your carton requires us to film laminate the top sheet before we litho laminate it to the corrugated or solid board bottom sheet - our CAD/CAM department could design the carton, perhaps from your sample or mock up, and produce a cutting guide for your repro-house to work from thereby ensuring that the printed sheet will fit the cutting forme that we can then make for you.
Perhaps your requirement is for Point of Sale showcards - we could film laminate them if needed - mount them on whatever display board - guillotine or die cut them and maybe fit struts or hanging kits.
You may wish to use us for just one of our processes, a lot of jobs only require laminating or, maybe, just creasing, we would be more than grateful to help, but the benefits we can offer in time saving and, perhaps more importantly, quality control when using a combination of our services is obvious.
With regard to quality, we are proud that we were the second company of our kind in the UK to achieve ISO 9002 accreditation. We have held this quality standard since 1994 and, as far as we are aware, are still one of only a few companies in our field able to provide this proof of commitment to quality.
Our aim, everyday since our first day of trading in August 1985, has been and will always be to provide a service that is value for money - perhaps not the cheapest nor the most expensive but we believe unreservedly that 'you get what you pay for'. This philosophy is applied throughout our business, therefore our customers, existing and new, can rest assured that the machinery and materials we use are the best available. We feel that judging by our success and reputation for quality and service that we have got the balance just about right.
We operate a 2 shift system and work overtime as necessary. We never make promises we know we cannot keep and would rather turn a job away than let a customer down knowing that we could not honour a commitment. However, we are a finishing house and are therefore used to short lead times and tight deadlines and can usually accommodate most requests. The nature of our business is very much 'day to day'.
